Claiming massage on your private health fund

If you have private health insurance with extras cover, your remedial massage may be claimable. At Fern & Soul we have HICAPS on site, which means you can often claim on the spot.

What is HICAPS?

HICAPS is the terminal most Australian clinics use to process private health-fund claims. Instead of paying in full and claiming back later, you tap your health-fund card at the end of your appointment and only pay the gap (if any).

What you'll need

• Your private health-fund card.
• Extras cover that includes remedial massage (cover varies by fund and policy).
• To know that remedial massage is the claimable service. Relaxation massage generally isn't covered.

Good to know

• Whether you're covered, and how much comes back, depends entirely on your fund and your level of cover. We can process the claim, but your fund sets the rebate.
• If you're unsure what your policy includes, it's worth a quick call to your fund before your visit.

We accept claims from all recognised Australian health funds, including HBF, Medibank, Bupa and NIB.
