Remedial massage
Remedial Massage in Innaloo, Perth
Targeted treatment for tension, injury recovery and chronic muscular pain. Every session starts with a short chat about what you would like to work on, then the treatment is tailored to that area. Our studio is in Innaloo, a few minutes from Scarborough, Karrinyup, Stirling and Doubleview.

What it involves
Focused, not just relaxing
Remedial and relaxation massage are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same. Remedial is the more focused of the two, chosen when you have a particular area you would like addressed rather than a general reset.
A short chat first
We start with a conversation about how you are feeling and what you would like to work on, whether that is a tight shoulder, lower-back tension or recovery after activity.
Treatment tailored to you
Work focused on the areas that need it, with techniques chosen to suit and pressure adjusted to your comfort throughout. Firmer is not automatically better.
Aftercare that lasts
Simple aftercare suggestions so the benefits last beyond the table. If you are not sure which treatment suits, mention it when you arrive and we will tailor the session either way.
For the evidence behind the comparison, our reference page on the difference between remedial and relaxation massage sets out what the one head-to-head trial found. For the practical version, read what remedial massage involves or deep tissue and trigger point massage, explained.
Prices
Choose your session length
Prices in AUD. Deep Tissue & Trigger Point Massage is priced the same from $70, with sessions up to 90 minutes. We are an ANTA member clinic with HICAPS on site, so health-fund claims from recognised Australian funds can be processed on the spot. What you get back depends on your fund and level of cover. “What an incredible experience! Amy’s attention to detail, her obvious high level of training and knowledge, and the beautiful premises made for what was one of the best, if not the best, remedial massages I have ever had. I have had a lot of massages in my time and this was something else. The only downside is that I had to leave. Thanks Amy, I know your practice is going to get quite popular!”

Common questions
Remedial massage, answered
What is the difference between remedial and relaxation massage?
A relaxation massage is a flowing, full-body treatment designed to help you switch off, usually at light to medium pressure. A remedial massage is more focused. It starts with a chat about a specific concern, such as a tight shoulder or lower-back tension, and the treatment is tailored to work on that area.
What does a remedial session look like?
A short conversation at the start about how you are feeling and what you would like to work on, treatment focused on the areas that need it with pressure adjusted to your comfort, then simple aftercare suggestions so the benefits last beyond the table.
Can I claim remedial massage on my health fund?
Our therapist is an ANTA member and HICAPS is on site, so claims from recognised Australian health funds can be processed on the spot. What you get back depends on your fund and your level of cover, so it is worth checking your extras before you book.
How long should I book?
Sessions run from 30 to 90 minutes. Thirty or 45 minutes suits a single focused area such as neck and shoulders. Sixty minutes upwards gives room to work through more than one area without rushing.
Do you serve Scarborough, Karrinyup and Stirling?
Yes. Our studio is at Unit 2, 39 King George Street, Innaloo WA 6018, a few minutes from Karrinyup, Scarborough, Stirling and Doubleview.
